December 23rd, 2008 - Chicken Systems announces the release of Translator™ Mac Version 5.9 Build 65 and Translator™ Windows Version 2.9 Build 119.

Translator Mac 5.9 Build 65 adds Structure and Emulator-X as source formats, streamlines some operations, and fixes bugs - including the need for the Install CD to be inserted when running Translator (big mistake!).

Translator Windows 2.9 Build 119 adds a couple new features such as converting into a previously-existing SoundFont, plus a couple important Motif maintainence fixes..

New Fixes and Features:

• [MOTIF] Added Options: Parameter Tolerance and Ignores, Write VelRanges in Element
• [MOTIF] Optimized Vel->Amp so it is not as drastic
• [MOTIF] Fixed certain VelRange situations where they weren't written correctly
• [ALL] Fixed Giga-> with compressed samples; was broken in Build 116
• [AKAI] Fixed ->MPC-1000 sample naming and bitrate issues; now corrects names to 16-characters, and makes sure samples are 16-bit
• [ALL] Fixed Waveplayer playback in looped and other circumstances
• [ALL] Now converts items with empty Kontakt Groups more adequately across destination formats
• [ALL] Significantly sped up 16-bit dithering in many cases
• [ALL] Fixed Fix References in Kontakt files
• [KORG] Fixed EXS24->Triton in stereo instances
• [ALL] Fixed EmuX-> loops and tunings in certain cases
• [ALL] Made minor adjustments on Akai S-3000-> modulation settings
