Instrument Manager™ is part of a package called SamplerTools™. Instrument Manager™ can be purcahsed separately or it comes as part of the SamplerTools™ package.
SamplerTools™ combines the abilities of IM, Translator™ and Constructor™ in one package. Translator™ is a Sound Object conversion program, and Constructor™ is a Sound Object building program.
That combination of abilities is done by two methods:
- You can use the SamplerTools™ interface, which provides a subset of all the abilities of Instrument Manager™, Translator™, and Constuctor™
- Take advantage of hightened abilities of Instrument Manager™ when SamplerTools™ is installed on your machine

Proprietary Conversion On the Fly |
Drag and drop any format, not just ones of the same type, onto a Proprietary Disk in the Proprietary Dialog. This automatically converts the sound Object into that drives format. |

Extended Bank Builder |
With the standard Bank Builder you can only collect Instruments of the same type to construct a Bank. With SamplerTools™ installed, you can use any Instrument to form your Bank. All Instruments will be converted at the time of complication of the Bank. |

Convert As... built into the Main Screen |
With any entry in the list on the Main Screen, right-click and there will be a menu added called Convert As... Select the format you want to convert to and SamplerTools™ will perform the conversion and add the new entry to the database if desired. |
You are certainly free to use the other programs main interfaces to do a more complete job of translation or instrument-building. These functions are included in IM for convenience and in case you just want to work off of the Instrument Manager™ interface. |
