Emu EMAX
to Emagic EXS-24 mkI & II Translation
Translations in Code Development are currently being developed with engineers working with the instruments and writing code.
If you have seen this message, it may refer to the Destination format, or the Source format, or both. For example, if you are waiting for the NED Synclavier translation to Ensoniq Mirage - both formats are in development. For more info, see the main page for either format.
The development process may take up to month, or sometimes longer (depending on the complexity of the translation, and what translations are selected to implement in what order), before the beta-cycle begins.
Please remember that schedules sometimes radically change; this notice is not indicative of a release date, so we recommend that you do not count on anything until you see this translation has been released.
DON'T BUY VAPORWARE!
Please remember that all sample-platform upgrades are free, so if you order Translator today, this translation will be available to you via Web update as it is completed.
Translator can read Emax CD's or disks, or .em1 files created by Emx on the PC, and convert the Banks into this format. Translator cannot read floppies themselves (Translator does not support floppies), but you can use Emx to get the floppy info up to your hard drive for Translator to deal with it.
Since Emax structures are similar to the E3/ESi format, Translator internally converts the Presets and Samples to E3/ESi format (which is lossless), and then passes them to the already robust and tested E3/ESi routines.
See the Emu E3/ESi description for more information on the particulars of the Emu Emax to this destination format.
