Kurzweil Creator™ opens the door to integrating your own samples and instruments into your Kurzweil K2000, K2500, K2600, K2661, PC3K, or Forte workstation. It's easy-to-understand interface makes understandable your Kurzweil banks and gives you total control of Programs, Layers, Keymaps, and Samples with as few clicks and drags as possible.

Move Programs, even with sampled Keymaps, into other Kurzweil banks. Rename any object; reassign any Keymap to any Layer.

Kurzweil Creator™ also includes the power of Chicken System's Translator conversion engine, allowing you to convert existing Instrument files into a new or existing Kurzweil file.

Available on both Mac and Windows platforms, Kurzweil Creator™ can greatly expand the power of your Kurzweil and increase the value of your investment.

NOTE: Current functionality with the Kurzweil PC3K and Forte is that they load KRZ files; so Kurzweil Creator is extremely useful for these units. Support for their native formats (.P3K and .FOR) is coming soon.

Main Features

View Your Kurzweil Banks.

A Kurzweil bank is a "KRZ" file (although it can have a .KRZ, .K25, .K26, or .P3K extension). You view this completely in a "Kurzweil Document", showing you the Programs (and each Layer), Keymaps, and Samples in that Bank.

Programs, Layers, Keymaps, Samples.

Once you view the Kurzweil Bank's contents, you are free to create, delete, or edit ANYTHING. Drop in Samples or even Instruments from the outside. Edit an Layer's Parameters. Even construct a new Program or Setup.

Import Any Format.

Kurzweil Creator™ has the Chicken Systems Conversion engine, allowing you full access to pretty much EVERY professional instrument known to man (e.g. Kontakt, EXS24, Structure, SFZ, Reason, others). Want that great guitar or electric piano in your Kurzweil? Just import it in - using Kurzweil Creator™.

Directly Audition Keymaps.

Only Kurzweil Creator™ has an onboard Keymap Player, allowing you to audition Keymaps before you commit them to the Kurzweil. Just select the Keymap and play via MIDI. Also, Kurzweil Creator™ creatively allows leveraging your favorite software sampler to edit or create your Keymaps in realtime; simply prepare your Keymap with one click and drag it (for example) into Kontakt. Fully harness the power of Kontakt, and when you are done editing, save your Keymap and the Kurzweil document is immediately updated. You can also edit sample-by-sample with your favorite sample editor.
