Native Format

Native Formatting means that the sounds you are using have been programmed with that sampler SPECIFICALLY in mind. Even though all the Ensoniq samplers can read one anothers sounds, it doesn't mean that the sounds are optimized correctly.

Rubber Chicken sounds go the EXTRA MILE to ensure the sounds are optimized for your sampler.

Sounds are transferred and programmed using special software. At times the effects are resampled into the sound. Reverb is mostly omitted.
Effects are programmed, and always 16-Plus file type, and we use additional special algorithms to simulate the ASR-10's effects. Additional parameters (Boost, Layer Delay, MINIMODE, Pan, etc.) are considered.
Effects are programmed with the ASR in mind, and are always the ASR file type. Additional parameters (Boost, Layer Delay, MINIMODE, Pan, etc.) are considered.
Using special software, we compensate for translation errors. We include an Insert FX structure on every sound, and consider the new parameters (Resonant filters, + and - values, etc.) and effects that the ASR-X offers.

Each RCS sound set an CD-ROM notes what formats are "native" to that sampler. In most cases, your sampler will be noted!
