QUESTION: Can some one tell me a step by step process of setting up my drive so I can use the number way of loading directories... So if I punch "load-20" it will jump to the first instrument in directory with the macro 20 assigned to it. I know how to set up regular directories, but not in a way to use the "load-#" system.
MACROs
The Macro directions should be in your SCSI manual. If you don't have it, go get it. It's very helpful. But in a nutshell:
To create a macro, page to
the file you want it to go to. Then
Press down LOAD, and hit {MACRO NUMBER, between 1-28},
hit YES, and let go of the LOAD button. To "invoke" the macro
Press down LOAD, and
hit {MACRO NUMBER, between 1-28}, and let go of the LOAD button.
DIRECT MACRO
Remember, with CD-ROM, there
is the Direct Macro scheme of things, where you have Macro's 1001
- 9938. These correspond like this
Macro 1234
1 = Directory 1 in
the Root directory
2 = Directory 2 within
Directory 1 within the Root directory
34 = File 34 in that
directory
Your CD-ROM Drive must be set to SCSI 4 for this to happen.
