These are multisamples of a Musser M-55 vibraphone, formatted for the EXS24 soft sampler by Emagic. The samples were recorded in stereo with a matched pair of Neuman KM-184 microphones, with medium hard mallets, and a slow vibrato; in the Milt Jackson style. 

There are two archives. The first one M55_Vibraphone.sit, contains samples in Sound Designer ll format. They are suitable for use with the Macintosh OS. The second file is called M55_Vibes_Wav.sit. This archive contains samples in .Wav format, and is suitable for use with Windows based computers. 

These samples are free to all for use in any context. Feel free to pass them along.
